A week outside

So much to try.
Time to be a kid.

A morning game can turn a stranger into a friend. A first climb can become a story they tell all week.

Our Danville site brings together ropes elements, a climbing wall, Long Pond, and space for games and outdoor skills. Campers participate in age-based groups, with time for the whole camp to connect.

The published day-camp format has a 1:5 staff-to-camper ratio and up to 15 campers in each age group. Confirm current session details and staffing with the office when registering.

A typical day

The rhythm of a great camp day.

Activities and timing vary by session and conditions. This gives you a feel for how the day comes together.

Supervised games and creative choices—such as basketball, soccer, cards, and bracelets—help campers settle in before the structured day begins.

Campers divide into age groups for games, cooperative challenges, and outdoor experiences.

  3. Lunch

    Come together & recharge

The camp gathers for lunch and a change of pace before the afternoon’s adventures.

  4. Afternoon

    Explore, climb, paddle

The afternoon may include the climbing wall, ropes activities, swimming, boating, or other outdoor adventures, depending on the day and conditions.

  5. Wrap-up

    Celebrate the little wins

Staff recognize effort, participation, and growth before campers head home with stories from the day.

  6. Friday

    Finish with a camp tradition

Our published program includes a group outing to Memories Ice Cream to celebrate the week. Confirm the current session’s plans with the office.

Parent questions

The practical
side of camp.

Where do we drop off and pick up?

Day camp is based at Adventurelore, 197 Long Pond Road, Danville, NH. The published hours are 8:30 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Ask the office for your session’s check-in, pickup, and authorized pickup instructions.

Can my child come without a friend?

Tell us if your child will be coming on their own or feels nervous about joining. Group games and shared experiences give campers opportunities to get acquainted, and staff can discuss how they support that transition.

What do we need to know about swimming and boating?

Tell the office about your camper’s swimming ability and comfort on the water. Ask about the session’s planned activities, supervision, equipment, and participation requirements.

Is day camp therapy?

Day camp is a recreational adventure experience. Fun, friendship, confidence, and growth are part of camp life; clinical counseling and therapeutic groups are offered separately.

Help with camp costs.

Explore hometown assistance, EFA, and a short list of organizations that may help eligible families pay for camp. Parents and guardians contact each funder to confirm their selected camp qualifies.
