  1. Day 1

    Danville to Franklin

    Meet the group, travel to Maine with breaks along the way, set up camp, and get familiar with Franklin Farm.

  2. Day 2

    Paddle & explore

    Enjoy camp games, paddle Donnell Pond, and take on an overnight outdoor adventure with the group.

  3. Day 3

    Sunrise & lake time

    Wake to a new view, enjoy time at the lake, then return to Franklin for games and an evening together.

  4. Day 4

    Discover Acadia

    Explore the national park through hiking and climbing opportunities, visit Bar Harbor, and travel toward the rafting base.

  5. Day 5

    Raft the Kennebec

    Spend a day on the river with rafting guides before traveling to the White Mountains for a campfire evening.

  6. Day 6

    Home with stories

    Enjoy breakfast and a final camp adventure, pack up, and return to families in Danville.

How is Junior Acadia different from Junior White Mountains?

Junior Acadia is a six-day trip for ages 10–13 with Maine lake and coastal destinations and guided rafting. Junior White Mountains is a five-day trip for ages 8–12, based in North Woodstock. We can help you compare the travel and activity demands.

Where does the trip begin and end?

Our published trips begin and end at Adventurelore in Danville, New Hampshire. Confirm check-in and return times, transportation arrangements, and any changes with the office for your session.

Is the itinerary guaranteed?

The itinerary shows the shape of the adventure. Weather, water levels, access, group needs, and logistics may change the order, locations, or activities. We can explain the current plan before registration.

What about homesickness, food, medications, or staying in touch?

These are good questions to discuss before signing up. Ask us about sleeping arrangements, meal planning, allergies and medications, communication with home, and how staff support campers away from home.

Help with camp costs.

Explore hometown assistance, EFA, and a short list of organizations that may help eligible families pay for camp. Parents and guardians contact each funder to confirm their selected camp qualifies.
